For many, aluminum Globes are an attractive accessory, and we are delighted that our customers appreciate them and that they enhance the interior of their vehicles.
In fact, they also offer several advantages over the often creative and time-consuming process of filling and smoothing A-pillars. These advantages extend beyond simply avoiding the need for such work. The greater distance from the A-pillars significantly reduces disruptive reflections, and positioning the tweeter at ear level is generally easier. Most importantly, the spherical shape itself supports the tweeter's lower frequency response, improving soundstage imaging and resolution, as well as the integration with the midrange driver, particularly in a two-way system.
