ProX Ring Adapters are the professional addition to any perfect speaker mounting.
The basic principle becomes clear when one considers, beyond the marketing, the original operating principle of a loudspeaker and recognizes that an energy-driven moving element is glued into a basket from which it repulses. The basket and its rock-solid mounting are the parameters determining the extent to which energy losses can occur. Naturally, the basket must lie perfectly flat and, of course, be vibration-free in the substrate to fully convert the previously expensively acquired energy into high-quality sound. In automotive competitions, steel rings are used for this purpose, which should allow no further errors. Their sheer mass – 0.5 kg per ring – prevents any transmission of vibration or energy to the vehicle.
