For us, it's the successful implementation of an idea that's occupied us for decades and can bridge the gap between CAR and HOME and PA with HIFI.
A ticket to a multiverse of possible applications that can span almost our entire product range.
This gives our loyal existing customers a new use for their previously purchased speakers by offering empty enclosures.
This allows them to rethink and decide on a long-desired vehicle upgrade.
Here in this application as the PX SP or, slightly more powerfully, the PX SPP, it's an 8" subwoofer enclosure, which, with its 26 liters of net volume, can be ventilated either via a 4" front port or a 3" rear port. The latter option, via the 3" rear port, allows for an optional upgrade to a 3-way speaker box. A 10cm coaxial speaker is then recessed into the 4" front port, quickly transforming a subwoofer enclosure into a party box. This is not only suitable for the home, but also for large vehicles such as buses, trucks, campers, or even boats ... or why not all of them at once? With a recessed handle on the back, the PRO AUDIO idea of a portable enclosure is the goal. This allows for quick deployment wherever needed. The PRO AUDIO design is primarily reflected in the full-surface, stable hexagonal protective grille, into which we have recessed our well-known EXCURSION brand emblem, and which can be screwed in at a flexible 180° angle.
But even as a subwoofer enclosure, the possibilities for use and placement are diverse and flexible. It can be used horizontally in spare tire placements or under false floors. It can be positioned vertically upwards in very small trunks of small vehicles, or as a practical partition in a station wagon to create a remaining usable space. Of course, within a set of 2 piece with a width of total 90cm, will fit in any trunk. Certainly also It's conceivable for a standing installation on the C-pillars of large vehicles, or even at home. At Home it could be stacked with another SX SAT enclosure on top, creating an elegant 90cm tall stand Speaker enclosure.
