For some, our innovative SX enclosures with the SX SAT and SX SUB are just another attractive wooden box that's newly available on the market.
For us, it's a successful implementation of an idea that has occupied us for decades: to bridge the gap between CAR and HOME and PA with HIFI.
The ticket to a multiverse of possible applications, decoupled but not excluded from the classic car application, which can cover almost our entire EXCURSION product range and sizes.
Not only but also to give our loyal existing customers an alternative use for their previously purchased speakers and subwoofers with the offer of these SX SAT and SX SUB empty enclosures.
This also allows a long-desired upgrade to new speakers in the vehicle to be reconsidered, as the "old" speakers can continue to be used and continue to be used in their second life at home.
We've already thought about this in advance and added our SX AC/DC125A, a 240V switching power supply for 12V, to our range to give the "old" amplifier a second life and a new use at home. We affectionately refer to the SX AC/DC125A this way as our home alternator. There are no limits to creative use, and with just a few examples of many, we demonstrate that these cabinets, used as building blocks, can quickly create a 60" TV HOME RACK or entire speaker demonstration walls for retail. This is mobile and can be quickly assembled and disassembled at any time.
Here in this application, the PX SP124, is the SX SUB with an SHX12D2 subwoofer, which can be operated either in series at 4 ohms or in parallel at 1 ohm. This makes it ideal for a small mono PXA 1K amplifier at 1 ohm, but also for all 2- or 4-channel amplifiers in bridged mode at 4 ohms. With a cabinet width (horizontally) of 45 cm, two cabinets can be installed in almost any trunk width, making our HXA mono amplifiers the best choice. With a cabinet width of 40 cm when standing, three cabinets could also be created in some large-capacity and transport vehicles, and of course, they can be stacked in height and easily connected to one another. But not just for large vehicles like buses, trucks, campers, or even boats—or why not all of them at once—with a recessed handle on the back and asides, the PRO AUDIO idea behind a portable housing is the goal. This allows for quick deployment wherever needed. The PRO AUDIO usage character is clearly visible in the full-surface, stable hexagonal protective grille, into which we have sunk our well-known EXCURSION brand emblem. This can be flexibly screwed on at a 180° angle, at least in the SX SAT housing.
